Bellheim, 16.12.2024 - Once again this year, QMatrix GmbH has donated a total of 3,000 euros to two important organizations in the region. The Silz Children's Village and the BLAUER ELEFANT children's home of the Kinderschutzbund Landau-SÜW e.V. each received 1,500 euros to support their valuable work with children and young people.
The Silz Children's Village offers children and young people who are unable to grow up in their original environment a protected home. Since its foundation, the children's village has been a contact point for young people in difficult life situations. With a holistic approach, it not only provides accommodation, but also organizes educational support, educational opportunities and leisure activities. The financial support from QMatrix is intended to help improve the quality of life of the young residents and provide them with special leisure and development opportunities that would otherwise not be possible.
The BLAUER ELEFANT children's home in Landau has been committed to the protection and rights of adolescents in the region for 44 years. The team of specialists offers advice for children, young people and their families in the event of emotional, physical or sexualized violence, helps with the separation or divorce of parents and provides support with parenting problems. The Child Protection Association also has a specialist child protection and prevention unit for training specialists, a children and young people's telephone, a learning mentor project in cooperation with schools and a second-hand children's store.
The donation from QMatrix will be used to purchase new “protective animals” for traumatized children: blue stuffed elephants that will be given to children cared for by the Kinderschutzbund as part of play therapy. “The blue elephants stand for the idea of child protection itself, for comfort and safety and often become a loyal companion for the children in challenging times,” explains Kyra Pachner,. Managing Director of the Landau-SÜW Child Protection Association.
“Children are our future, and it is very important to us to support projects that give disadvantaged young people support and prospects,” says Stefano Lisci, Managing Director of QMatrix GmbH. “We are delighted to be able to make a contribution with our donation and thus also fulfill our social responsibility,” adds Tobias Hoffmann, Managing Director of QMatrix GmbH.
QMatrix GmbH is regularly involved in social projects and specifically supports initiatives that benefit children and young people.
