11th December 2025: QMatrix donates €3,000 to support children in the region

In line with its Christmas tradition, QMatrix visited two institutions last week that are dedicated to protecting and supporting particularly vulnerable children in the region. Each institution received a donation of €1,500.

The first visit was to the Maria Regina Children’s Village in Silz. The facility currently cares for 82 children and young people who, due to stressful or traumatic experiences, are unable to live with their families of origin. They are accommodated in nine residential groups. Within the protected and stable environment of the children’s village, they receive support, reliability, and the opportunity to develop and grow as individuals.

Head of institution Janosch Armbrust provided insights into daily educational life and noted: “Despite limited resources, the federal and state governments are meeting their responsibilities and ensuring basic care for young people. In everyday practice, however, it is repeatedly evident that individual support services or play and experiential education programs require additional financial resources. We are therefore all the more delighted that your donation will enable us to build a new wooden playhouse for our outdoor area.”

The second visit took us to the Blauer Elefant Child Protection Centre in Landau, another institution that QMatrix has supported for many years in its important work. Kyra Pachner, Managing Director of the Child Protection Association Landau-SÜW e. V., presented the latest project that QMatrix is supporting with its donation: the establishment of the first Childhood House in Rhineland-Palatinate, currently being developed in Landau.

“Children and young people affected by violence need tremendous courage to confide in outsiders and accept help. Based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Barnahus standards, we meet them at eye level in the Childhood House. We create a protected space where age-appropriate, participatory, and interdisciplinary support is provided,” explained Kyra Pachner.

The concept is unique: professionals from the fields of justice, criminal investigation, medicine and forensics, child and adolescent psychiatry, youth welfare and child protection services, as well as psychosocial specialists, work together under one roof in the Childhood House. A coordinating specialist receives the children and their families and aligns all necessary steps with those involved. This ensures that affected children do not have to recount their experiences multiple times and can always remain in a safe and respectful environment. In close cooperation with the child protection service of the Child Protection Association Landau-SÜW, psychological support can also be arranged at short notice to keep the emotional strain on the children as low as possible.

Stefano Lisci, CEO of the QMatrix Group, highlighted the importance of the company’s commitment: “We have supported both child protection institutions in our region for many years. Children are among the most vulnerable members of our society and have no influence over the circumstances into which they are born. It is therefore all the more important to strengthen the valuable work carried out by the Maria Regina Children’s Village and the Child Protection Association, and in doing so make a tangible contribution to improving the lives of these children.”
